The other day I was on the Tube and the Central line was down, this meant that the Metropolitan and City line was manic, I just had try and capture this amazing experience of travel.

The image above was taken on the London Underground with a 1935 Baci Box Camera and 120 HP5 Ilford roll film, the image was further developed by a series of scans and digital editing, the finished image is in response to and influenced by the theories based on Quantum Tunneling.
The Portal
Specific locations are chosen to photograph, familiar spaces such as subways, bridges and other walkways that hold a direct sense of journey from one place to another. The architecture and aesthetic of these locations provides contrasts of surface texture and composition. The work is further developed using digital editing and a series of layered images are constructed, pushing the original photographs / images into a journey of their own.
